Cardiac First Responder Training

COURSE OVERVIEW

Our Cardiac First Responder training course will provide attendees with the knowledge and skills to respond and assist with a life threatening medical emergencies such as choking, cardiac arrest and stroke. Attendees will gain skills in the basic life support in CPR with knowledge in use of an AED / defibrillator.

Course Objective

On completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Assist with a life threatening medical emergencies.
  • Preform basic life support with CPR.
  • Use an AED/defibrillator.

Course Requirements

In order to partake in this course, participants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be over the age of 16 years.
  • Have a good level of English.

Course Content

  • Introduction
  • Role and Responsibility of the Cardiac First Responder
  • Basic Emergency Care
  • Airway and Ventilation
  • Accessing and Use of an Automated External Defibrillator
  • Safety and Communication

Course Duration

  • 1/2 Day

Course Assessment

  • Theory & Practical Assessment

Course Certification

  • On successful completion, participants will be awarded with a Certificate in Cardiac First Response which is valid for 2 years.
